Our Life with Jacob
Jacob came into this world on April 11, 2005, born to James & Tonya Vanness, we didn't know Jacob then but on June 4, 2005 he came to us at the age of 1 1/2 months, he was a beautiful tiny little boy with big brown eyes, with a monitor attached to him, he hade been diagnosed as a high risk of SIDS he wore the monitor until he was about 5months when the dr's chose to take him off due to it being a bigger risk of him strangling himself, so there where lots of restless nights instore for us, worring that he would stop breathing in his sleep and we had always heard that after 12months you didnt have to worry about that any longer so the day he turned 1yr it was like a fear was lifted from us. Little did i know that he was still in danger, until i woke to find him not breathing that Monday, February 5, 2007 at aprox. 7:30 a.m. with me and the paremdics and the drs working on him until aprox 8:30 a.m. they finally came and told me he was gone, it was the worst news i have ever received in my life, and the pain is unbearable at times, as the months has went on, his loss seems greater, because u always have those questions why, what would he be like today, how would he look, how big would he be, would he always be a mommas boy or turn into a daddys boy, would he play football(something he loved so much at a young age) the night before he passed away we had a super bowl party with a bunch of the high school football players, and he had a blast running around yelling everytime one of us yelled about a play that was made, and each time he would run from his big brother to me and give me a kiss and a hug, little did i know that night would be the last night we spent together on this earth. I can only picture my angel now running and playing football with Jesus and all the other little angels...I Love and Miss you more each and every day....We Love you Jake!
My wish would be that they will find out what causes unexpected deaths in children, because no parent should have to go through this and never really know what happened to there child.
